And like with all headphones customized by ColorWare, every part of  50 Cent’s headphone can be customized with your own favorite color. The ear cups, headband, frames, rings, etc… can all get their own special touch. Once again, if you have money to burn, and are looking for already over priced headphones, you might as well fork over even more dough to make it stand out. A pair of colorized Street by 50 will set you back $400 and Sync by 50 will cost $550.

If LG does find success this year, it could largely be because of vast improvements Google has made to its television service. The new Google TV is much more streamlined and simplified, though Google has work to do convincing the market that it’s safe to come back to Google TV.

The LG G2 Series LED televisions, in addition to those dual-core processors, will feature quad-core GPUs, which both LG and Google believe will improve performance when users stream entertainment from online sources, in particular. The G2 Magic Remote will have similar functionality to the remote coming with Samsung’s new Smart TVs, adding gesture and simple voice control. It will still have a QWERTY keyboard, though, which many have found and will find cumbersome.

The display uses LG’s Cinema 3D technology, and will be compatible with lightweight, battery-free 3D glasses to provide HD 3D content.

Unfortunately, that last word is still the bane of Google TV’s existence – content. Though the experience is much more streamlined and user-friendly, Google TV still lacks crucial content partners, including Hulu Plus and ABC. All online content will mostly come from Amazon, Netflix, or YouTube, though HBO Go is also onboard.

When they hit stores sometime this month, the LG G2 Series televisions will sell for $1,700 and $2,300, for the 47” and 55” models, respectively.

The iPhone controlled BMW and Audi lines include luxury cars and SUVs based on actual vehicles from both companies, including the BMW 5 Series. Each car comes with an RF transmitter that can switch between three different frequencies, meaning you can race up to three cars in the same place at the same time, if you really want to complete your fantasies without putting down cash for the real things.

Once the RF transmitter is attached to your iPhone, all controls are handled by the YJ-Helicopter app, which can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store.

So, if the life of luxury still eludes you, make do with the BMW and Audi iPhone controlled cars. Look at it this way – at least you won’t feel as bad if you wreck them.

And, with four modes of use (toast, bagel, reheat, and defrost) and four quartz heating elements, you’ll be able to toast any kind of bread product you want, and get it evenly toasted every time. To be fair, that last bit is pretty nice. After all, there’s nothing like the mild inconvenience of your butter not melting on the middle section of your piece of toast to throw your day off right from the start.

But first, good news for those in the United States – federal laws still say that calls and texts while within 250 miles of United States airspace are not allowed while airborne. Past that, anything goes on the upcoming Virgin Atlantic jets that will be fitted with tech that will allow for roaming calling, texting, and web use at 35,000 feet.

This mostly applies to those in the United Kingdom, though. Virgin is partnering with AeroMobile on the updated jets, which will provide some of the tech behind the service. As of now, only those who use O2 or Vodafone will be able to make calls, and roaming charges will apply. Calls using the service will cost £1/minute, while texts will cost 20p each.

Virgin is aiming to have 20 such jets in the skies by the end of the year. As expected, there has been much hand-wringing as a result of the announcement, with claims that noise in confined places contributes to stress. Granted, that’s pretty much true – if you’re not the one making calls, having to listen in on someone’s conversation when you’re trying to get what little sleep you can manage on an airplane probably isn’t going to be very pleasant. Currently, the service will only be able to handle ten calls at one time, which is still more than enough to put just about the entire airplane on edge.

So, if you’re a frequent flyer, just remember – do your absolute best not to smack the fifteenth person you hear say “Hello? Hey? Hey, guess where am I right now! No, no, just guess.” It’s not going to be easy.

The Elecom Megane Smartphone Stand will give your phone a little more stability when it’s standing up, though. The glasses-shaped stand replaces lenses with suction cups that hold your iPhone (or any smartphone, for that matter) steady while you’re watching a video or listening to music.

I’m not sure how much in the way of style points you’re going to get with these, since they’re going to be hidden when in use. But, if glasses-wearing pride runs deep, you can score a pair in one of six different colors from Gizmine, for a vision-blurring place of $40.

These new APUs offer an increase of nearly 29% in CPU performance over the previous generation. But besides for an increase in processor prowess, it’s really the 59% increase in graphic performance over the previous generation that is the real news here. That is because these APUs are all about taking advantage of the GPU for serious video gaming, video editing, and other multimedia intensive tasks – all on a budget. For example, the A-Series will allow for real-time results when applying effects in Photoshop CS6. VLC player also has a GPU button that takes advantage of the A-Series APU to reduce shaky video.

The new A-series also features AMD HD Media Accelerator technology which is able to optimize video content for better video quality, and allows for faster video file conversions. Furthermore, the A-series promises to make it possible for systems to have a battery life of up-to 12 hours.

These 2nd gen APUs will begin showing up in new ultra-thin and lightweight laptops like HP’s just announced ENVY Sleekbooks, which aim to offer an alternative to Intel’s Ultrabooks by offering a similar form-factor, at a more competitive price. You can also expect to see other ultra thin A-series Trinity powered laptops come out that cost around $650, but are powerful enough to play the likes of Battlefield 3, with aplomb.

This means that everything will be on one page, and easily accessible. Rdio’s new main page looks a lot like iTunes, with a playlists bar on the left, music browsing in the center, and a social bar added on the right. You can now add entire albums to playlists, and browsing is made more convenient because the app will remember your browsing progress – if you click to check out an album, you can return to exactly where you were on the browsing page right after.

On the social bar, you’ll be able to see every0ne in your network and what they are currently listening to. You can also hover over songs or albums to find out which of your friends, if any, have given them a listen. Heavy Rotations can be created based on your preferences and your friends’ preferences, and playlist creation is made a little bit easier via drag-and-drop.

Now that Rdio has a cleaner and more user-friendly web interface, it could become a little more attractive than Spotify, which lacks a browser app, to the chagrin of many. This is probably the most significant change Rdio has made to its service yet, so it’s worth checking out if you’re looking for an alternative web-based music player.

The REMYXX Recyclable Sneakers are 100% recyclable, made from lab certified materials that have the look and feel of canvas and rubber. Only four different styles are planned for the initial launch, but it looks like the concepts for many more are already prepared. All of the designs feature the commonly seen triangle recycling logo, so you can let everyone know your shoes won’t go to waste after it’s time to lay them to rest.

Lenovo officially announced today the all new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 14″ Ultrabook, one of the few ultrabooks that might just have you saying ‘MacBook what?’ This powerful laptop is remarkably thin and light, yet somehow it’s still durable and full of features. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook design is a great example of just how far into future we’ve thrusted, and in such a short amount of time.

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook will be the world’s lightest 14″ laptop weighing in at 3lbs. While the official thickness is unknown, playing hands-on and referring to the stock images would lead us to believe its going to be among the thinnest 14″ Ultrabooks as well. It’s almost razor thin.

Lenovo did not compromise the durability of the X1 with its light and thin design. There’s a roll cage built out of a premium carbon fiber, a material known for its strength and light weight. The 14″ display is almost edge to edge. The display is a “vibrant hi-resolution HD+ screen” which is 300nit bright. The keyboard is backlit and still maintains the trusted ThinkPad feel.

The X1 Carbon screams ‘mobility’ with its design, which is why Lenovo intends to keep users ‘always connected’ with integrate mobile broadband 3G.

One of the most incredible features of the X1 Carbon is its rapid charge capabilities. It can charge up to 80% of the battery in 30 minutes. Other features include Dolby Home Theater v4, 720p face tracking camera, 3rd-Gen Intel Core I processor, ThinkPad Enhanced Experience 3.0, and vPro technology for enterprise management.

No word on pricing yet, but we can expect to see the new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook sometime this summer.

We recently wrote about the Firebox’s BLENDit case, the personalized retro smartphone cases. Firebox offer 24 awesome retro-chic designs, all personalized with 10-character names. We got our hands on an old-school Gameboy iPhone 4S case, customized for Chip Chick, for review. Firebox also offers cases for Blackberry Bold, Blackberry Curve, iPhone 3G and iPhone 4.

The iPhone 4S case, which may differ from the others, is a two-piece case. There’s a black rubber interior and a hard plastic exterior shell. The rubber interior is form fitting and does a good job protecting iPhone, as is. The hard shell covers almost all of the rubber by use of side fittings and three rubber feet that protrude out the back of the case. These three rubber feet also prevent the case from sliding around a surface. The ports and cutouts are large enough for most needs. There are button overlays for the volume and lock buttons. The overlays are easy to press, though it’s a bit tricky to differentiate volume up from volume down if it’s in your pocket.

Our old school Gameboy case is really cool looking. Instead of “Nintendo Gameboy” it says “Chip Chick’s Phone” in the same font. We were a bit disappointed by the low resolution print, though it may be an intentional part of the design. From more than a foot away, the low resolution is unnoticeable, and it’s not too easy to fool others into thinking we’re actually holding a Gameboy Pocket.

The BLENDit case is almost an all-around amazing case. It’s light, durable, protective, and super sweet-looking. The rubber feet are a nice touch, too. Unfortunately (on our model, at least) the hard outer shell doesn’t stay attached to the case very well. For instance, if iPhone’s laying face down, and we pick it up, we might just be picking up the shell instead of the iPhone (how annoying!). Using your iPhone while you’re laying in bed may result in an iPhone falling directly onto your face.

BLENDit cases are all completely fab-looking, and even better with a personalized name or text (10 character max). For a custom case, with such neat designs, they’re very affordable, pricing out at $32 from Firebox.com. If Firebox can figure out a way to keep the outer shell better connected to the inner shell, it would be the ultimate case…and not just the trendiest.

The Good: Great Designs, customizable, durable, protective, light, cases for BlackBerrys and iPhone 3G/S and iPhone 4/S, and case has rubber feet to keep it from sliding.

The Bad: Exterior shell falls off phone, 10-character max, and Volume Up/Down overlays aren’t well differentiated.

The move and subsequent logo redesign were influenced heavily by Jay-Z, who owns 1.5% of the New Jersey Nets. That was enough sway to convince majority owner Mikhail Prokhorov to get on board – or, maybe Prokhorov didn’t care, because he was too busy campaigning to become the president of Russia. Not sure.

The unusual black and white design is reminiscent of the old New York City subways signs, and is a call back to earlier days when Brooklyn still had professional sports (the Dodgers). Jay-Z might not have been able to lobby to get his good friend LeBron James to take his talents to Brooklyn, but his design ideas are pretty bold in their lack of color, and should draw some interest in Nets fashion statements come the start of the next NBA season.

The Skullcandy Brooklyn Nets Aviators will be black with the new Nets B-Ball logo. The headphones themselves are a decent set, with memory foam ear cushions, a microphone, and a focus on balancing highs, bass, and vocals.

You can also grab a pair of Aviators graced with the face of Oklahoma City Thunder guard James Harden, recently named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year in a well-deserved honor. But, the question begs to be asked – why James Harden? The answer is simple. If you can find me a more majestic beard than that the one that man is rocking these days, do let me know.

The Six-Pack Beer Belt Holster is not for a jack-of-all-trades. Wearing this makes it clear that you’re only good at doing one thing, and that you probably do that one thing very well. This belt fits six bottles of beer, but be warned – if you’re wearing this around your next barbecue, it looks like it will be very easy for others to snatch your brews without much difficulty. And, given that wearing this probably means that you are or will be heavily inebriated, your guard’s probably going to be down.

Fortunately, the temperature will also be down on the beers that don’t get swiped. The holsters keep beers cool while you tote them around for easy access, perfect for those who always find themselves lamenting how unreasonably far away the cooler or the fridge is.

There’s also a pocket where you can keep your wallet, but if you’re wearing this, maybe just leave the wallet in a safer place – namely not on your person.

The Biolight CampStove is as eco-friendly as it is geek-friendly. The stove doubles as a USB charger for mobile devices, but the really cool part is how it generates that power. At the top is an open stove, where you can start a mini-campfire. The heat from that fire is converted into electricity that is used to power your mobile devices. The green part is that the stove doesn’t use gas. Instead, you’ll be fueling it using natural resources found around you like twigs and leaves. The CampStove also includes a one-gallon pot for cooking.

Maybe the most legitimate combination of technology and roughing it comes with a $129 price tag, which isn’t too bad considering this is one of the most ingenious outdoors products I’ve seen in a while. The Biolight CampStove uses resources to the max, while leaving a minimal effect on the environment. It’s enough to make even the most hardened geek want to take a step outdoors.

In an interview with Bloomberg Television, Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, said he, “would invest in Facebook,” following up with a very determined, “I don’t care what the opening price is.” I’m not sure what to make of the choice of the word “would,” but it sounds an awful lot like Wozniak will be an eager day one buyer of Facebook stock later this month. Given that Facebook will probably start at around $25 or $30, Wozniak’s not really saying that much – especially given his storehouse of cash.

What he is saying is that he is very confident in the future of Facebook. And why not? Fusion-io, a business dedicated to making flash memory, boasts Wozniak as their chief scientist. Facebook accounts for an incredible 36% of Fusion-io’s revenue, so Wozniak has good reason to make a hefty bet on Facebook – his company probably wouldn’t be relying on them if confidence was lacking.

It sounds like Wozniak is joined by just about everyone in the excitement over Facebook stock, but it’s still worth it to take a step back and consider, even if a pioneer like Wozniak buys in. Facebook is popular, and, with its widespread integration with the rest of the Web and enormous user base, will probably stay that way for a long time. But, the success of a stock depends a lot on revenue growth and profitability. Popular doesn’t mean profitable (see: Twitter, Groupon). Facebook, as of now, will be relying on advertising as their main driver of revenue. it’s far from certain that Facebook will have the kind of success Google has had in that realm. Facebook didn’t need to worry too much about revenue growth and profitability before this month. With tons of shareholders soon to buy in, the pressure will be on, and Facebook and its management will be in uncharted territory.

But, I’m sure Wozniak has his reasons for wanting to buy in, and, considering he’s Steve Wozniak, they’re probably good ones. It will be interesting to see if his enthusiasm over Facebook stock is warranted.

The M-Edge Trip Jacket appears to just be a regular iPad portfolio case, little do people know, its got a real trick up its sleeve. As with most portfolio cases, iPad is secured on the inside, and there’s a protective front cover. On the Trip Jacket, the outside covers are designed with a durable twill and treated with ScotchGuard to repel liquid and dirt. The inside of the covers are a soft micro-fiber with a leather trim. The front cover is sealed closed with an elastic strap.

On the inside of the case, iPad mounts into four plastic corner holsters. It provides a perfect and secure fit for iPad, while giving ultimate access to all ports and buttons. The Trip Jacket’s magic trick is that the holster which docks iPad is completely removable. The iPad, with holster, snaps off of the case and can remount iPad in landscape or portrait mode. The holster can also slide up or down to provide unobtrusive access to iPad’s camera. M-Edge calls this their uView Mounting System, patent pending. To fully understand it, take a look at the video and see the system in action.

The back cover has a fold running vertically down the center. With the front cover laying on a surface, the back cover is folded back and rests on one of the three grooves on the top of the front cover. This creates three different portrait and landscape viewing angles for iPad. It’s pretty much every viewing angle you could possibly ask for!

The real question is how usable is the Trip Jacket, really? It’s actually surprisingly usable. Snapping the holster, or ‘uView Mount’, off of the case and snapping it back on takes some getting used to. Since the system is plastic, it feels like you’re going to break something, but it’s proved itself to be quite durable. Sliding iPad upward to use the camera is also a little strange at first, but it solves a problem that most cases fall victim of: a blocked photo when the cover is folded behind iPad. The mounting is pretty sturdy, especially considering how quick and easy it is. I was able to type up most of this review on the train, with iPad on the lowest incline in portrait mode. This is great because it’s a lot easier for me to type in portrait mode; the incline really helps. Once the case is properly laid in a docking groove, it stays up, even with typing. If Trip Jacket is propped on your legs, then movement can undock iPad, but on a flat surface this doesn’t really happen.

All-in-all, the M-Edge Trip Jacket is one of the most versatile iPad cases out there. At last there’s a case that you can easily prop iPad up in a portrait fashion. This is perfect for typing documents. While the uView Mounting System is plasticky and different, it works really well once you get used to it. The Trip Jacket cases are made in some neat retro-inspired colors. It’s currently available in Purple with Black, Black with Lime, and Pomegranate with Blue (pictured). It costs $39.99 from M-Edge directly. Considering this is pretty much the standard price for iPad cases, the Trip Jacket is very worth it for it’s versatility and usability alone. The M-Edge Trip Jacket for the New iPad 3 even fits the iPad 2, however M-Edge makes an iPad 2 version which may provide a slightly better fit.

The Good: Landscape and portrait stands at multiple angles, thin, light, protective, durable, affordable, camera doesn’t get blocked when cover is folded behind case, and cool color schemes.

The Bad: There’s a learning curve, the right half of the back cover isn’t attached to iPad and can awkwardly fall, and uView is plasticky
