The case itself promises to be protective while also providing “hi-fidelity” sound. Somehow, we doubt that the speakers on this case can provide a cinematic experience, but just about anything is an improvement over the super weak speaker that is built into the iPad 2. Really, that speaker is such a pain to use – in semi noisy environments, even at its loudest volume, it is pretty unusable. Which is why a case with a built-in speaker helps kill two birds with one stone.

The case also requires four AA batteries to operate. Pricing is TBD. Oh, and Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab owners rejoice – a similar case, called the iSP230 will also be available for the Tabs, however it will only be available in a choice of pink or black.

Till now Yubz may have been best known for their retro and artistic handsets that let you talk on your phone without having to subject yourself to harmful radiation. But they are actually expanding their collection to include some unique new items. One such item is the Mood Light Elevator. The Mood Light Elevator is a risible desktop lamp and clock with touch sensors. The lampshade rises if its needed for light at your command. It can go as high or low as you want and reaches 13″ when fully elevated. The Mood Light is activated by simply touching the metal rim.  But besides for lighting, it also works as a clock, timer and thermometer. It will be available in White, Blue, and Black. There is nothing really new here except the spring-like colors, but we’ll give you the lowdown again on the iSP100′s specs. Trying to not sound like some cheap tinny external speaker, the iSP100 features jAura Acoustic Speaker technology with 720° surround sound 4W Speakers, and a 3.5mm jack for unlimited connectivity. The palm size speaker comes with a carrying case for protection and storage and only requires three AAA batteries for it to work. Unlike many USB keys these days – preloaded goodies come loaded on to it. RayD80 comes fully loaded with games, wallpaper and it is also serves as a regular thumb drive, which these days is very handy to have with you. The games that are already loaded onto this thumb drive are similar to a Tetris game where you need to line up three of the same color blocks in order to get rid of the color line and as the blocks build up, they come down faster. You are also able to rearrange the colors so they can fit to the blocks that are already lined up. This is a very classic game which makes the player think quick and ahead. It is a good game to keep the mind going as I find myself playing similar games online all the time.

Another great feature the Mimobot has is wallpapers for your computer. You can personalize your computer  with the Mimobot as it comes preloaded with different wallpapers, avatars, and desktop icons. This is something different that no other thumb drive will have. If you purchase other characters from the Mimobot line you will also get games, avatars, wallpaper, etc..associated with that character.

RayD80 is plug and play and your computer will recognize the software and begin searching through different wallpapers and other available applications. There really is no thinking involved.

Conclusion:
Overall this is a great purchase which has some nice features and also serves as a storage device. Also included in the package is a cute Mimobot felt jacket for your character and some stickers.  I highly recommend the Mimbot to any student or adult on the go looking to to get their USB Key noticed. The iSee inked Contour acrylic clear cases for the Nano 4G takes advantage of the vibrant colors of this line but also gives it a trendy finish while still protecting it. Unlike other typical clear cases, these offer up 7 different designs: Swirls, Reverb, Argyle, Flourish, Squares, Circles, and Zebra with the color of your Nano 4G as a background.  The cases are relatively cheap at $24.95, it’s just a pity that it isn’t available for the iPhone or iPod Touch…

Available in white, black, pink, blue, green or orange, Uniea’s Haptique for the new MacBook Aluminum, is a hardshell case made of ABS plastic with soft touch coating that has a textured feel. The case also sports an soft interior to protect the surface of your MacBook from scratches while also providing opening for access to all the ports and ventilation holes to keep your laptop running cool. The Haptique’s surface is also described as having a leather-like pattern.

Set-up:
Right out of the box, all you have to do is snap the top piece of the Haptique to the top of your MacBook and the bottom piece to the bottom of your MacBook. The bottom piece of Haptique sort of snaps on to the back of the MacBook where the Hinge is.

Design:
The Haptique fits snugly around the MacBook, so it’s a secure fit. Its port openings also align correctly with the ports on the MacBook. On contrast, we have seen some hardshell cases that don’t do such a good job of that. Additionally, The ventilation holes at the bottom of the Haptique help keep the laptop running cool. The MacBook overall doesn’t get too hot in general, but even when using it with the Haptique on, it’s been running cool. The case naturally ads a bit of thickness to the top and bottom of the case which should also works to protect the laptop from some minor drops.

Conclusion:
The Haptique claims to have a leather-like finish. Unfortunately I wasn’t very impressed with this aspect of the case. The surface is pretty soft, but I wouldn’t go as far as to say that it’s quite leather like.
Overall as a hard-shell case, the quality of the Haptique is solid and choosing one of the available colors will certainly add some punch to your MacBook while also adding an extra layer of protection for it. The Uniea Haptique retails for $49.95.

Design:
In the past it has always been how the ‘company’ designed the headphones. With iFrogz it’s up to you how to design them. You can choose from a variety of headphones to customize. If you dig DJ style headphones with a swivel earcup you can choose to design either the Fallout or NervePipes, both are totally cool but do have a different overall style in headband and earcup size. There is even the ability to design a pair of earbuds too. We chose to mod a pair of NervePipes. This pair of headphones are nicely shaped for a woman’s head and are a decent size without looking to chunky on the ears.

The first step to customizing is to choose a headband color. The choices are either black or gray. Then you can customize the colors of the sidepieces, hinges, speakers (the backside of the earcup), and then the ear cushions. You can choose from a range of solid colors to make your headset pop and the colors range from black, blue, gold, pink, red and everything in between. When you get to design the the center portion of the speakers, that is were the fun really starts. There is so much to choose from you may want to create another pair of headphones just so you can have the whole collection. You can choose multicolor graphics that feature a wide range of unique designs that anyone would love. If your taste is more simple, then you can choose from the chrome, gold, black, and white all featuring the same images on them. You don’t need to be a techie to design your headphones. It is really simple and there is 3D image of your headset that changes as you modify the design. So you get to see exactly what you are designing.

Setup:
Since this is a standard pair of headphones, there is no batteries required or tips to change. Just take it out of the package and plug it in and you are done.

Sound Quality:
The iFrogz are not meant to break the bank, so the $34.99 price tag for the NervePipes may make people scoff and say you get what you pay for in sound quality. However I was happily surprised. The sound produced was pretty good quality and certainly not subpar. Compared to my bose, you may not have heard the rich quality of the music but you certainly heard the bass and treble just fine. It had good sound quality that any consumer who isn’t an audiophile would appreciate. If you press the earcups closer to your ears you can feel the bass a bit better as the ear cushions really don’t conform to your ear and are a bit stiff. If the padding was a bit softer, than I bet the sound quality would be even better as it would mold to your ear better. Overall I was happy with the sound at this price point and it certainly didn’t make me scoff.

Conclusion:
If you are looking for an affordable pair of headphones that you can add your own personal touch too without breaking the bank, then the iFrogz selection of headphones are for you. They also make a great gift if you are looking to impress someone with a bit of a personal touch. It ships within 48 hours after creating them,  talk about a great gift in a pinch! Overall, the NervePipes were a decent pair of headphones that produced good sound for the money, were comfortable to wear, and displayed our personal taste very well. These are not a pair of headphones that should be in anyway compared to a pair of bose headphones but they shouldn’t be considered a cheap novelty pair of headphones either.  The fact you can design your own means that these are truly a one of kind pair of headphones. No one else will likely ever have them and what better way to show your individuality.
