Dell XPS 14z Hands-On Photos

14 inch laptops haven’t exactly been in the limelight over the past few years, but Dell wants the 14-inch laptop to shine again with the new Dell XPS 14z laptop. This latest XPS model is packs in a 14-inch WLED display inside of a body that would normally be sized for a 13″ display. Dell has managed to accomplish this by making the 14-inch display, nearly edge-to-edge. The body is also made of a aluminum and magnesium construction, and Dell has thrown in a complimenting back-lit keyboard. The system weighs all together 4.4lbs and measures 0.9″ tall, 13.19″ wide and 9.21″ deep.

Pricing for the system begins at $999 with options for a Core i5 or Core i7 processor. Other options include up-to 8GB of ram, an SSD up-to 256GB, and a 1 GB NVIDIA graphics card. With these kind of specs, it certainly seems like Dell is trying to compete with the HP ENVY series and Apple’s MacBook Pros. The laptop should be available for purchase starting today.
