It’s turning into a veritable horse race with all these shower-friendly speakers hitting the market, but not since the Kohler Moxie Bluetooth Showerhead of 2012 have we seen one as clever as ShowerTunes. ShowerTunes brings your music into the shower without taking up valuable shower real estate by tucking a speaker system into a shower curtain.
ShowerTunes puts waterproof speakers and a microphone inside a shower curtain, so you can listen to music or take calls while you’re in the shower. As an aside, we haven’t discussed this yet, but taking calls in the shower? I don’t think you can take any calls in any bathroom without being awkward about it. I guess with the shower you can try to pass the background noise off as rain, but I don’t think they’re going to buy it.
Anyway, ShowerTunes also has a touch-friendly pouch on the exterior for your smartphone or tablet. The pouch will supposedly (I don’t know, buyer beware with this claim) keep your device dry while giving you access to the touchscreen, so you can still control your music. I guess that also means you can start playing games and browsing in the shower, too. Please don’t start taking hour-long showers.
