Robert Downey Jr Wants You at the Avengers: Age of Ultron Premiere

We have seen the changing face of charity, and it’s looking a lot like Robert Downey Jr.—Omaze, a Kickstarter-like platform where you can exchange donations to charity for celebrity swag and/or experiences, is running one fundraiser where the lucky winner gets to be BFFs with Iron Man for a day. So, I guess not BFFs. BFFADs? Doesn’t have the same ring to it, I guess.

The charity in question is Julia’s House, a children’s hospice in Dorset, England. And, while charitable contributions are their own reward, the Omaze page lists some other pretty tantalizing carrots for Iron Man and Robert Downey Jr. fans. I don’t know why I mentioned those two separately, I think they’re pretty much one and the same now.

The big one is a chance to win a trip to LA to hit the red carpet alongside Robert Downey Jr. at the Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere. You’ll get outfitted with your very own tux or gown ahead of time (not your own Iron Man suit, unfortunately) before getting to ride in the motorcade with Downey Jr., because celebrities have ascended to the importance of heads of state. How many entries you get into the drawing depends on how much you contribute. And, speaking of those contributions, there’s plenty more here than just a chance to win the grand prize.

Starting at $25, there are tons of goodies you can get from this campaign. That goes from T-shirts and signed letters to autographed Iron Man replica suits (you can get one, after all!) and Robert Downey Jr.’s brainstorming notes about the Iron Man character, taken while production of Iron Man 3 was underway. If you’ve got really deep pockets, $50,000 can buy you a trip to the set of Captain America: Civil War and a meeting with Robert Downey Jr. or a special advance screening of Age of Ultron for ten people, plus signed concept art.

But, the drive only lasts for a week, and this happens to be the last day. So, if you haven’t already, get on over there and open your wallet.
