Best 2-in-1 – Huawei MateBook
Here’s something we didn’t expect. Huawei jumped into competition with the Microsoft Surface at MWC 2016, introducing the MateBook. It’s a tablet that runs on low-power Intel core m CPUs, making them fanless — quiet and cool. The tablet is also very lightweight, making it a great choice for travelers who need to lighten the load. The keyboard cover, which will be sold separately, adds a touch of class with a leather exterior. At a lower price than some of its competitors, the MateBook is one to watch in 2016.
Best Enterprise Device – HP Elite x3
It’s been a little while since we’ve been intrigued by a Windows Phone that wasn’t coming directly from Microsoft. Surprisingly enough, that changed thanks to a company that doesn’t make very many phones — HP. The HP Elite x3 is a powerhouse, though, with premium specs throughout. More importantly, it runs Windows 10, which means it has Microsoft’s Continuum feature. When connected to an external monitor or the separate laptop dock that HP will sell, Continuum will change the UI to suit the screen size you’re using.
