JBL Pulse 2 Review – Not Just a Speaker, But A Portable Lightshow Too

The JBL Pulse 2 is one of the most unique speakers in the portable Bluetooth speaker market, and that’s no easy feat. The Pulse 2 is about setting the mood and getting people talking. While the loss of the equalizer mode is a real bummer, the light show still looks fantastic, and much more fluid than on the original Pulse.

Despite some unexpectedly missing lighting features, the JBL Pulse 2 remains a fun Bluetooth speaker with great audio quality, balanced sound, that is sure to make it the life of the party.

The JBL Pulse 2 launched at $200, but you can now get it directly from JBL for $170 or on Amazon for $160.

The Good: LED light show looks fluid and is super unique, excellent balanced audio, good volume, vastly improved battery life over the original, splashproof

The Bad: JBL Prism feature can struggle with darker colors, no equalizer mode, can’t change colors manually, bass response still a little weak
