Monster’s Ghostbusters Headphones Ain’t Afraid of No Ghosts

Who else would you call for Ghostbusters headphones? Suddenly very appropriately named Monster is getting together with hip-hop luminary Nas for a trio (no fourth?) of Ghostbusters headphones ahead of the reboot’s release on July 15. The headphones join a growing list of merch coming out of the movie, including a much-missed throwback, a sick Lego set, and, uh, Twinkies.

Three of Monster’s headphones — the Elements Bluetooth over-ear headphones and the ClarityHD on-ear and in-ear headphones — get the Ghostbusters treatment. It’s very subtle (to the point of being unnoticeable) on the Elements over-ears, where Monster has decided to preserve the platinum finish, hiding the Ghostbusters logo inside the earcups (Nas’ personal logo is also hidden from view on the inside of headband). The ClarityHD on-ears and in-ears seem prouder of their love for the Ghostbusters, using black and yellow stripes on the cord and headband and the Ghostbusters logo on the outside housings and earcups.

That looks like the extent of Monster’s involvement with Ghostbusters, but Nas has been far busier. Aside from being involved in these headphones, he’s also got Ghostbusters hats, glasses, shoes, and apparel coming out. According to Hypebeast, his creations have been made in partnership with New Era, Fila, Italia Independent, and his personal apparel brand, HSTRY. You can check out just about everything on Hypebeast‘s shop.

The Monster Elements Platinum Ghostbusters edition over-ears cost $500. The Ghostbusters editions of the ClarityHD on-ears and in-ears cost $140 and $60, respectively, and you can find them on sale at Ron Herman.
