Toms Introduces Hipster Apple Watch Bands, Will Donate Solar Lights for Each Band Sold

Toms, the company best-known for its policy of donating a pair of shoes for every pair sold, is now bringing their charity model to the Apple Watch. This week, the company introduced seven Apple Watch bands on their website and pledged to donate a solar-powered light for each band sold.

Of the seven bands, three fit the 38 mm Watch and four fit the 42 mm Watch. Both sizes will get Toms’ trademark blue and white-striped design on a band made from grosgrain fabric with leather detailing. Toms has a few other bands made from the same materials, along with a couple more expensive options that have leather backing all the way around the band. All of the watches have stainless steel buckles and details.

Aside from the classic blue and white, there’s a pink 38 mm band with rose gold-colored details and a plain black 42 mm with black-colored details. There’s a more urban-looking olive green 42 mm option with plain stainless steel details, too. A leather-backed band with a black and white diamond pattern is available in both sizes.

The Apple Watch bands are listed on the Toms website. The blue/white and pink bands are still unavailable, but the other options can be ordered now. The bands cost $49, except for the leather-backed option, which costs $75. The company has not yet specified what kind of solar-powered lights they will be distributing, or where they will be doing so.
