Only a month after the Axon 7 Mini went on sale, ZTE is back with another new option for the holidays. This time, the price is going up — they’re adding a new model of the Axon 7 with a bump in storage and RAM, plus the addition of force touch on the display.
The new model will be identical to the Axon 7, but will have 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, instead of 4 GB and 64 GB. It’ll also get force touch, similar to the iPhone, which means you can control apps in different ways by pressing more hard or lightly on the touchscreen. The upgraded phone was announced at the same time as the Axon 7 in May, but we hadn’t heard anything about it since then.
The new version of the Axon 7 goes on sale today for $500, or $100 more than the Axon 7. Whereas the Axon 7 came in ion gold, quartz grey, or chromium silver, the upgraded version of the phone will only be available in ion gold.
