PayPal Can Finally Be Used to Pay for iTunes Purchases

Good news if you don’t like using your credit card online.

Apple and PayPal have finally decided to cooperate — starting last week, Apple is now rolling out PayPal as a payment option for purchases made through their services, including iTunes and Apple Music.

That means PayPal can be used to buy songs, books, movies, and apps from iTunes, as well as pay for the monthly subscription fee for Apple Music. If you’ve long been skittish about using your credit or debit cards online and have been relying on gift cards until now, this is another good alternative (provided you have a PayPal account!).

With the new agreement, it’s now possible to add PayPal as a payment option on your Apple account. All you’ll need to do is log in, sign into your PayPal account through Apple, and decide whether or not you want PayPal to be your default payment method.

If you’re here in the United States, don’t go looking for that feature just yet. Apple only introduced the PayPal payment option in Canada and Mexico last week, but they expect to expand the option to the United States and other countries in the near future.
