How Much Does It Cost To Keep Up With The Kardashian Vacations?

Do they do anything affordable, or is it all bankruptcy material for us mere mortals?

It’s easy to keep up with one of television’s favorite families, The Kardashians, via their infamous tv show. Since they are all very active on social media, it’s also easy to see where they are jet setting to next.

How easy is it to keep up with their vacation habits though? Do they do anything affordable, or is it all bankruptcy material for us mere mortals? Let’s take a look at how much it actually costs to keep up with the Kardashian vacations!

Costa Rica

The whole Kardashian family spent a vacation in Costa Rica at the luxurious and private Villa Manzu, right on the Pacific Coast. This private villa is no stranger to the rich and famous; it is very secluded and even has a full security team and ’round the clock staff.

Villa Manzu boasts eight gorgeous and luxe suites with fifteen beds, 30,000 square feet, and five acres. The rooms all have oversize tvs, fully stocked mini bars, walk-in closets, full bathroom suites, onyx and marble tubs, and a ton of space.

It features a spa, private theatre, two pools, several bars, and party rooms. There’s a fully stocked wine room, an on site executive chef to cook you all the gourmet meals you could want, and even a garage full of nice cars. Oh, and the price? $23,000. That’s per night.

Kylie jetted to Cannes with her mom, Kris, and boyfriend at the time, Tyga. She went during the Cannes Lions festival and partied on the Daily Mail Yacht. Not sure you can buy your way into that one. To stay at the Villa Eleana, which looks like the building in the background of Kylie’s photo, it costs 550 to 2,100 euros per night.

Cannes during the Lions festival is a peak season, and one of the most expensive times of year to book accommodations. We highly doubt Kylie and co stayed in a hotel; it’s more likely they rented a private villa (if they didn’t stay in the Villa Eleana) which costs anywhere from 7,000 to 10,000 euros a week. This isn’t even including airfare for everyone (they probably charted a private jet there) and food for the week, or a private chef to cook meals.

Kylie and Kris also had lunch at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, a 5-star hotel, during their trip to Cannes. Lunch dishes there cost between 20 and 125 euros. I have to say, the food at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc really does look amazing and delicious!

Punta Mita, Mexico

Next on our list is Casa Aramara in Punta Mita, Mexico. Basically the whole Kardashian family has vacationed here. This favorite ranges in price from $13,000 to $35,000 per night, depending on the season. Kim and Kanye came here right after their honeymoon in June 2014. Kourtney took her kids to Casa Aramara in January 2014 for a family getaway. Kim and Kanye re-visited in March of 2015. Saint and North have even stayed here too, and Kylie and Kendall stayed for Kylie’s 18th birthday back in August of 2015.

It was built by the founder of Girls Gone Wild, Joe Francis, and anyone with a boatful of cash can book a night here! The villa features twelve bedrooms and thirteen baths. It was designed by the renowned interior guru Martyn Lawrence Bullard (he’s also featured on Million Dollar Decorators).

The Kardashians are not the only celebs that have frequented Casa Aramara. Demi Moore Jennifer Anniston, and Eva Longoria all vacationed here according to Casa Aramara’s website. “Casa Aramara is one of my favorite places in the world. It really is my home away from home!” Kim Kardashian wrote on her website, “Punta Mita, Mexico, has forever been one of the places I can go to escape from the real world for a little bit.”

Turks & Caicos

Kylie and Kendall jetted to Turks & Caicos for Kylie’s 19th birthday, and they stayed in quite the place: the Pearls of Long Bay Estate, courtesy of Airbnb. It’s casually worth $50 million dollars and sits on six acres. It features three separate houses on the property and a grand total of 23 bedrooms!

Oh, and the estate spans 35,000 square feet. That’s like a town. It wasn’t just the two of them in such a massive mansion; they invited along their friends, including Hailey Baldwin and Bella Hadid. “My 19th birthday trip to Turks and Caicos was epic!” Kylie wrote on her website. “The beach was so beautiful — of course we had to take a ton of photos.”

A private jacuzzi, gorgeous pool, spa, tennis court, and gym were also features included in the $50 million dollar estate. It’s really easy to sit back, relax, and enjoy your vacation with all these perks!

Malibu isn’t perhaps the most far flung destination on our list, but it sure is luxurious if you have the money. Kendall spent one Fourth of July renting out a $30 million dollar Malibu mansion with her friends, courtesy of Airbnb.

This waterfront property is located on an exclusive beach and has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Beach access, incredible views from the patio located on the rooftop, a gym, screening room, and private hot tub are some of the other incredible features this home boasts.

It is also located right in the same neighborhood of residences owned by other celebrities such as Richard Gere, Robert Downey Jr., and Jennifer Aniston. How much did this cost Kendall? It goes for $2,200 per night.

Ferraris & Private Jets

Although our last look at vacationing like the Kardashians is not a destination, it is certainly a way to travel in luxury to any destination! Kylie Jenner drove her Ferrari right up on the tarmac next to her private jet and snapped this pic. Let’s breakdown the costs of being able to travel like this.

Instagram: @kyliejenner

Regardless of what Ferrari fits your taste, any one of these cars will set you back $200,000 to $400,000. That’s just, casually the price of most middle American houses. No big deal, right? You could literally buy a house in any part of America and get a pretty decent house at that, or you could buy a car. Which you can’t live out of. Or cook out of.

Anyway, the bottom line is very few people have that kind of money to drop on a car of all things. Renting a Ferrari for a day, on the other hand, is a definite splurge, but it’s more like a portion of your rent per month instead of the price of a house. Renting one starts at around $1,495 for two days of enjoyment in Los Angeles.

Next, on to private jets… definitely a black hole for your spending money. If you buy one, it will cost you $3 million to $90 million dollars. On top of that, it costs around $700,000 to $4 million dollars to keep your private jet in working order and running at all per year.

Chartering a private jet will cost you significantly less than buying one outright. Companies such as Jumpjet allow you to charter a set number of private jets per year and they charge a fee of $1,500 a month, which is $18,000 on an annual basis. Way more affordable than buying a private jet yourself, but image what you could do with $18,000 a year?
