I hate to say it, but the gender wage gap is alive and well, ladies. The tech industry especially is one industry really lagging behind on paying women as equally as their male counterparts, and it’s really a lot worse than you think. It’s also not exactly a secret that the tech industry is rather sexist to begin with.
Who can actually change this issue in tech? CEOs, recruiters, company founders, managers, and decisions makers need to be the ones actually working to change the gender wage gap in tech, because if they won’t, who will?
Harvey Nash/KPMG recently found that just 9% of senior roles in the tech industry are held by women. Yikes.
