Goats & Beauty, A Dionis Review: You Have These Four Legged Cuties To Thank For These Handmade Goodies

Goats and beauty are two things you probably don’t think to correlate, but Dionis™ is about to change all that.

Dionis™ makes amazing handmade beauty goodies, and you have four legged cuties to thank for this! What the heck am I talking about? Dionis™ makes hand creams, body lotions, lip balms, sugar scrubs…and they all contain goat milk.

This company has been in business for over 35 years, and they’re now carried in major beauty retailers such as Ulta. Their beauty buys are paraben free, gluten free, sulfate free, and cruelty free. Every one of their products is also made in the USA, and you know I always love getting behind that.

Why goat milk? Well, it’s actually packed with minerals and vitamins that hydrate and condition your skin. On top of that, goat milk can help you rebuild your skin, retain moisture, improve elasticity, and even slow down the aging process. There’s a lot to love here!

Dionis™ generously sent over a TON of hand lotions and lip balms for me to try, and let me tell you they do not disappoint. Full disclosure: I’m extremely picking about my hand lotions, and I’m probably worse with my lip balms. Ok, definitely worse.

My major issue with hand lotions stems from trying to find ones that are not goopy, gloppy, and leave you feeling like you just greased yourself down in butter. I hate when they’re just not absorbed into your skin and they sit on top like a sticky, sappy little layer that slicks onto everything you touch and makes it impossible to read your emails on your phone because it leaves a level of grime behind that really just grosses out even my dogs.

So, not only am I pretty princessy when it comes to my products, I also always have dry skin and lips no matter what time of year it is. Even when it’s disgustingly humid out, which has me circling back to how much I despise greasy hand lotions.

The same can truly be said for lip balms: I would say the majority of the ones available are also pretty greasy and just don’t sink in like they should. They also don’t leave your lips feeling kissed with moisture either; you’re left constantly having to reapply and no girl on the go has time for that.

The line of hand lotions from Dionis™ are just not greasy at all. Their lotion absorbs right into your hands when you rub it in, and there is actually a good reason for this. Goats apparently have the same PH as we do, which is why you’re not left with greasy residue. Pretty neat!

These hand lotions are available in a variety of amazing scents that are uplifting, yet not overwhelming. I couldn’t decide which one I liked; they just kept getting better!

Honeysuckle and Coconut, Love, Verbena and Cream, Sweet Berry: I truly couldn’t pick a favorite from all of those. They even have an Unscented one too.

Next up, their lip balms! Prepare to be addicted, because these are just everything you have been hunting and hoping for. Kiss those cracked lips goodbye.

Aside from being twice as large as any lip balm you’re going to find anywhere else….these lip balms really do work. I have to honestly say I haven’t been entirely happy with any other product I’ve used on my lips in regards to keeping them moisturized, and I routinely buy them all. Just ask my husband, he’s forever wondering why I have a zillion of them floating around the house, car, his pockets; you get the picture.

Peach Delight, Milk and Honey, Pumpkin Latte, Vanilla Bean, and Sweet Berry were all the flavors I got to try. All of them are absolutely incredible, and go ahead, call me basic, but Pumpkin Latte just won my heart. Maybe it’s just because it’s that time of year where I’m craving everything fall!
