It’s hard to wade through the news overload and keep up with the key things happening in tech, but here at Chip Chick we’ve got the highlights! Let’s jump right into what you need to know!
A Possible Drone Sighting Just Halted Heathrow
A possible drone sighting just halted all the happenings at Heathrow Airport in London, and the airport took to Twitter to announce the news.
“We are responding to a drone sighting at Heathrow and are working closely with the Met Police to prevent any threat to operational safety,” they announced in the tweet.
“As a precautionary measure, we have stopped departures while we investigate. We apologise to passengers for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Why Are Drones An Issue For Airports?
Drones are an issue for airports because they can do some serious damage to planes and even helicopters. I know, you wouldn’t think something so small could have that kind of impact, but it can.
A drone can completely smash the windshield of a helicopter, or even windows of passenger jets. Pretty scary.

Amazon Key for Garage is a new plan from Amazon to help keep your packages safe. This will work with all Amazon Prime purchases and will allow the deliveryman to open up your garage door and leave your packages safely inside. I think it’s a brilliant solution to porch pirates and am excited to see this roll out.
