The days of thinking coffee actually might not be so good for you are long over, and now you won’t have to worry about having that third or fourth (or even fifth) cup.
Not only does coffee increase your life, but it also helps reduce your risk of getting cancer, heart disease, Parkinson’s, and type 2 diabetes. On top of all those, there’s new research that says it contributes to fat loss!
Now, this is science I can definitely get behind. I absolutely love my coffee, and I love these new benefits it provides.
Recently, researchers from the University of Nottingham discovered the following in their study, that they published in Scientific Reports:
“Caffeine consumption has been associated with loss of body weight and increased energy expenditure …
Drinking coffee (but not water) stimulated the temperature of the supraclavicular region, which co-locates to the main region of BAT in adult humans, and is indicative of thermogenesis.
These results demonstrate that caffeine can promote BAT function at thermoneutrality and may have the potential to be used therapeutically in adult humans.”
Cheers to that!
