This Is Exactly What I Do To Increase My Productivity While Managing My Tasks & Time

Time management is the biggest gift you can give yourself as an entrepreneur. Your time is money, after all. There’s no worse feeling then being overwhelmed because things are piling up but you’re spinning your wheels and not getting anything accomplished in the end.

Too many things to do? Not enough hours in the day? No system to get you there? Let’s fix it. Ok, ok, while I can’t literally give you more hours in the day, by getting highly organized and following a system, you can get way more done in 8 hours than you initially thought possible.

This is exactly what I do to increase my productivity while managing my tasks and time.

Outline Your Objectives

I’m sure you have found yourself doing work, and then realizing that it’s kind of a complete waste because you didn’t really need to be doing what you just did. It’s easy to avoid this by first asking yourself what you need to be accomplishing in the first place.

What are your objectives?

Do you want to be donating x amount of your profits to a charity? Do you want to open a storefront? Do you want to launch your first line?

Sit down and make a list of everything you want to achieve.

Build Your Roadmap

Your next step is to then put a limit on every objective you have. I like to build my roadmap for the next year, next two years, and next three years. For example, I want to open my storefront in the next year.

From there, add on smaller goals to help you get to the larger objectives you put down. For example, I want to make $500,000 in annual revenue in the next two years, so I’ll aim to make $250,000 this year.

Get Your Year Together 

It’s time to get your year together. What do you want to accomplish in this year alone? Now break things up into quarterly achievements, such as for Q2 this year I want to have my line launched. For reference:

Q1 is January through March.

Q2 is April through June.

Q3 is July through September.

Q4 is October through December.

Get Your Month Together

Hang on, we’re getting more granular. I like to then take what I want to achieve in the next quarter from where I am at and then plan out my whole upcoming month to make sure I stay on track to get there while keeping myself accountable.

Get Your Week Together

Your final step is to plan out your entire upcoming week. Every day, outline your tasks. If you don’t quite get to every single thing, simply carry them over to the following week.
