A lot of people today either don’t get a lot of vacation time, or they’re too stressed out at work to take it.
Well, Mark Douglas is out to change all that.
The CEO of this MarTech company not only gives his employees an unlimited amount of vacation days…he actually pays them to take a vacation, too!
Mark is the CEO of Steelhouse and he thinks his unique approach to vacation time makes his employees more happy and loyal.
Mark gives every one of his employees $2,000 each year to spend on a vacation. They can choose to go anywhere in the world and pick anything they want to do (so long as it’s legal).
He doesn’t mind if his employees use the two grand all on one trip or if they want to take a few trips with that money.
And as soon as one of his employees books their trip, they get reimbursed the very next day. If they don’t have the money to book their trip, Mark lets them put up to $2,000 on the company credit card.
Mark firmly believes that if more companies adopted this practice with employee vacations, they would have far more productive employees, and I have to say I agree!
