I suppose you really can sell anything on the internet.
Even…real, live babies?
Someone posted an ad for a newborn baby for sale on Craigslist, and now the police are investigating.
The post went up with the location tagged as Kendall, Florida.
The person who posted that ad said that they were selling a newborn baby for $500. They also said that they would part with the newborn’s 4-year-old sibling.
Craiglist; pictured above is the ad selling an infant for $500
Here’s exactly what the whole post said:
Selling brand newborn baby for $500. Baby is 2 weeks old. It sleeps, don’t make noise at night. Formula and clothes will give it to you.
Can give you the baby 4 year old sister for free.
I live in a quiet influential neighborhood. I work for the department of children and families. I don’t wanna be judged for not wanting these kids.
The police are hoping that computer data will help lead them to who posted this, so they can determine if they were serious or if this is all some kind of crazy internet hoax.
So far, authorities have spoke to a woman they think is part of this post, but she told them she was not involved.
