Mother In Laws can be great, or they can be disastrous.
It seems like there never is an in-between, and this woman who recently posted her situation on Reddit has internet users up in arms over what her Mother In Law just did to her.
This bride who took to Reddit says that she had been dating her boyfriend for several years and the two wanted to get married in a low-key courthouse celebration. So they did.
A few years after their marriage, her Mother In Law told her son that he should properly propose to his bride with a beautiful ring.
The Mother In Law helps him pick the ring out online and helps him order it, too.
But she orders TWO; one for herself!
The bride realizes not long after that her Mother In Law is wearing the exact same ring as her, and when she questions her about it, she says she loved the ring she helped pick out so she just got one too.
The bride was upset by this, and also found it bizarre that her Mother In Law was wearing her exact same ring right along with her own wedding band….what?!
This bride hopped online to express that she is very upset by this whole situation and doesn’t think it’s appropriate at all.
Pretty much all of the commenters on the bride’s post agree with her feelings and don’t think this is right. They even asked her to ask her husband what he thinks, and all he said was that he thinks it is odd.
