Amanda Knox is getting married!
She first made headlines back in 2007 after her roommate from her study abroad program, 21-year-old Meredith Kercher, was found murdered in the house they shared in Perugia, Italy.
Amanda was just 20 when she was found guilty of Meredith’s murder. After she spent 4 years in Italy behind bars, the sentence was reversed in 2015 and she was found innocent.
She then moved home to America, and for the past several years, Amanda has tried to resume a normal life after she has been found innocent of the crime she was originally convicted of.
Amanda now lives in Seattle, and she has devoted her life to working to bring awareness to major issues with the justice system.
Amanda is also engaged and about to be married to 37-year-old Christopher Robinson, an author.

The couple met at a book launch for War of the Encyclopaedists, which Christopher wrote. Amanda later said that the two had pretty much an instantaneous connection, and they started dating just a few months after meeting.
When Christopher proposed, he turned their front lawn into a Star Trek themed land of blue and purple lights, complete with a meteor and the theme music from the show.
Now, Christopher and Amanda are just 39 days out from saying, “I do” and Amanda posted something pretty interesting on Instagram as she counted down to the date.

In a post she shared on Instagram yesterday, Amanda said, “40 days left until the wedding and 267 tasks left on the wedding To Do list.”
“I’ve locked myself in the craftroom and I’m wearing my old prison uniform.”
“Literally the very same sweatshirt and sweatpants I lived in in Casa Circondariale Capanne, Perugia.”
Ok, definitely an interesting choice in what to dress in while prepping for your wedding.
