Cynthia Lynn Smith was a 38-year-old teacher living in Waynesville, North Carolina.
Her friends and family affectionately called her Cindy. She was 3 months pregnant and about to be a mom.
She worked as a Lead Teacher at Kid Connection Child Development Center, and she was clearly loved by the staff there as well as the children she taught and their parents.
In a recent post on their Facebook page, Kid Connection Child Development Center wrote about Cindy:
“For childcare centers to run effectively and to be able to provide the highest quality care for all the children enrolled, it requires the center to employ great teachers.”
“Today I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to one of our Amazing teachers, Mrs. Cindy. Mrs. Cindy who works in our Toddler 2 classroom recently celebrated a 2 year anniversary with Kid Connection CDC, she has been a great asset to our center, and does an amazing job with our 2 and 3-year-olds.”
“Thank you, Mrs. Cindy, for your love, hard work, and dedication to the center, the children, and their families.”
Cindy’s life ended on January 21st as she was about to get into her car and head to work, just days after she decided to name her baby Riley Quinn Smith.
