Someone Stuck A Starving Dog In A Backpack, Drowned Her At A Pier In North Carolina, Now Police Need Your Help To Solve This Case

I apologize in advance for how completely and utterly heartbreaking this story is, but I think it’s important for you to know about this case and see if you can help get this dog the justice she so desperately deserves.

Someone stuck a starving female Pit Bull in a backpack, then weighed the backpack down with dumbells, so this poor girl drowned.

This all happened at a pier in North Carolina, and now police need your help solving this case.

In a post on Facebook, the Sunset Beach Police Department shared, “Yesterday, our officers responded to a call at the NC Wildlife boat ramp in which a subject who was magnet fishing on the fishing pier, pulled a backpack out of the waterway.”

“The backpack had been weighted down with dumbbells, and an emaciated black and brown female pit bull had been stuffed inside.”

“The dog appeared to have been in the water for no more than a day or two.”

“If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact us at 910-579-2151, or by calling 911 and requesting to speak to an officer.”

Here’s a photo of the backpack this poor girl drowned inside of.

The man who found this dog, Kegan H. Babb, replied to the Sunset Beach Police Department’s post with, “I’m the one who found this pupper, and I’m so happy and proud of the Sunset Beach Police Department and how seriously they have taken this matter.”

“Thank you so much for going above and beyond to help get justice for this puppy.”

“The officer that came out and the marine patrol both was very respectful and took the matter seriously. Thank you.”

It shatters me inside to know that someone could do something so heinous to a dog.

Please, share this post, share what the Sunset Beach Police Department said on Facebook, and let’s make sure this baby gets justice.
