Nicholas Shorter only made it to 1-year-old when his life was maliciously ended in an act of retaliation against his mom over a custody dispute.
Not long after Nicholas was born, court records state that his father, 43-year-old Jason Shorter petitioned to get custody over him.
It took over a year for the case to finally be settled.
Even though both of Nicholas’s parents had appeared to reach a decision shortly before he was murdered and Nicholas’s mom was given custody over him 6 days a week on May 7th, 2018…his dad did not take it well.
Nicholas lived with his mom in Euclid, Ohio, which is part of the Clevland suburb.
According to the custody agreement, his dad Jason was supposed to pick him up from his mom’s house at 6 p.m. and be sure to have him back to her house at 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening.

On the very first day that this new custody agreement went into place, Jason did the unthinkable.
Jason picked up Nicholas on Friday evening, but he failed to show up back at his mom’s house by 7:30 p.m. that Saturday, May 12th, and that is when she became concerned.
Nicholas’s mom called the police after her son was not returned to her, and the police immediately headed to Jason’s home to see what was going on.
But when they arrived, Jason was nowhere to be found.
