This is kind of a creepy one for you, and some people are saying this sounds like the beginning of a horror film.
A mom wants to know if it was ok for her to cut a friend out of her life…because she was afraid she would steal her unborn baby.
While it might sound kind of crazy, there certainly have been several real-life instances where pregnant women had their babies stolen from them before they were even born.
“I (23-year-old female) met this friend (24-year-old female, we’ll call her J) in April of 2018,” this mom-to-be starts out by saying.
“We didn’t speak much but from what she told the group we were with, I learned that she currently had lung cancer and had a stillbirth about 2 years before.”
“In October 2018 I found out I was pregnant when J was supposedly going through a miscarriage and found out she had a tumor in her uterus.”
“She was the first person in our friend group that I told about my pregnancy.”
She clarifies that she did tell her partner and friends about her pregnancy first, but she felt the most comfortable sharing the news with J before sharing it with the other girls in their group they were in.
“I’m getting this question a lot so I’ll answer here- J and I were not close. She was the first I told out of this particular group of friends, who were my “going out” friends.”
“I didn’t feel close to any of them, but related to J the most so I’d say we were the closest out of my relationships in the group.”
“Mid-December 2018: I hadn’t seen anyone for weeks but finally went to brunch at J’s house.”
And this is where things start to get weird…
