A Starbucks Barista Stood Up To A ‘San Diego Karen’ That Tried To Shame Him On Social Media And Now The Internet Has Raised Over $50k In Tips For Him

In the entire state of California right now, you are required by law to wear a face mask while out and about in public.

Even if you step foot in a cafe or a restaurant or a coffee place like Starbucks, you need to have a mask on your face.

Lenin Gutierrez is a barista at Starbucks and just the other day he was up at the cash register located in the front of the store where he works.

A woman by the name of  Amber Lynn Gilles came into Starbucks, and she was not wearing a mask.

Lenin explained on Facebook that he asked her if she would be able to please put one on so he could serve her. “She told me, ‘No. I don’t need one,’ ” He explained in his video.

“I was going to show her the paper that we’ve been provided saying that we require face masks, but we can still help — but before I can say anything, she flips me off, she says, ‘No. I don’t need one.’ And she started cursing up a storm.”

“She started calling people ‘sheep’ and she left.”

This woman then came back into the store and demanded that Lenin tell her what his name was.

“She took a photo of me and said, ‘I’m calling corporate,’ and started cursing some more at everyone, and just left, this time, for good.”

“I thought that was going to be the end of it, I didn’t know it was going to come to this.”
