Kansas Murderer Who Strangled Pregnant Woman From Missouri Will Be The First Woman In Nearly 70 Years To Be Executed By Federal Government

On the day of December 16th, 2004, Lisa left her house in Melvern, Kansas and drove out to Skidmore, Missouri.

Lisa traveled a little over two and a half hours north to get there, and the reason for her trip was to meet up with 23-year-old Bobbie Jo Stinnett.

Lisa had initially met Bobbie Jo on the internet, and the two connected over their pregnancies and puppies.

Bobbie Jo bred dogs, and Lisa told Bobbie Jo she wanted to make the drive out to her house to buy a puppy from her.

Lisa had no intention of purchasing a puppy. She drove to Skidmore with a completely different agenda than what she had told Bobbie Jo.

Lisa got to Bobbie Jo’s and was welcomed inside. She then strangled Bobbie Jo, who was 8-months-pregnant and cut her unborn baby right out of her stomach with a knife she took from her kitchen.

She left Bobbie Jo lying on the floor in a puddle of her own blood. An hour later, Bobbie Jo’s mom discovered her and called 911. She was rushed to the hospital, but she sadly passed away.
