Khloé Kardashian Speaks Up After The Internet Got Upset About Kim’s 40th Birthday Bash

In the comments section of the post Kim shared for her birthday, many people expressed their anger over the private island party.

“Omg wish someone would’ve told me we could have massive parties,” one person commented.

Another said, “This is quite literally the most tone-deaf thing you’ve ever posted (kimono aside).”

Someone else added, “You are the mirror of America today: a selfish and superficial society where you only care about yourself and not about the millions of people suffering out there.”

Following all of this, Khloé went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and addressed the controversy.

“I did hear people were upset that we went out of town,” Khloé admitted to Ellen. She pointed out that they all took a lot of measures to keep themselves safe prior to traveling, before getting around to how their tourism helped the people living on the island.

“So many people said that we were their first party of guests that they’ve had in months and what it’s done for them to be able to pay their bills or to be able to do stuff for their family, just hearing those messages when we were there, we felt really good and we felt so safe.”

So even though the internet lost it on Kim, Khloé thinks her sister should focus on all of the positives, like how “beautiful” it all was.

“It was such a beautiful experience and I want Kim to focus on how beautiful it was and what she did for everybody.”
