Taylor Swift Is Opening Up After Her Master Recordings Were Sold For $300 Million Without Her Even Knowing

In a statement Taylor posted to Twitter on November 16th, she said that she did her best over the “past year” to negotiate with Scooter to buy her master recordings from him.

She then revealed, “Scooter’s team wanted me to sign an ironclad NDA stating I would never say another word about Scooter Braun unless it was positive.”

His team refused to let Taylor try to buy her work and wouldn’t even give her a price unless she signed this NDA first, which Taylor’s team told her was “NOT normal.”

Then a few weeks ago, Taylor was notified by private equity company Shamrock Holdings that they had purchased all of her work from Scooter.

They had wished to contact Taylor prior to the sale, but Scooter told them they couldn’t buy Taylor’s work if they did so.

Anyway, they wanted to be able to partner with Taylor in some way, but after she discovered that Scooter was still going to profit off of her work that he sold, she nixed that.
