3 Things I Bet You Never Knew About Blake Shelton

His Older Brother Sadly Passed Away In An Accident

When Blake was a teenager, 14-years-old to be exact, his brother Richie sadly passed away in an accident.

Richie was 24 at the time, and his girlfriend was behind the wheel of a car that he was a passenger in when she hit the backend of a bus.

Richie passed away, along with his girlfriend, and her toddler son who was also inside of the car at the time of the accident.

“Look, you’re never gonna get over it,” Blake opened up to Cowboys & Indians about the loss of Richie.

“For me, my brother was my big brother. I mean, I wanted to be him. I wanted to look like him, dress like him, listen to what he listened to, and be into the things he was into.”

“So when he was killed in a car accident, it was literally like the world went silent. There was a void in my world all of a sudden, and I’m still not over it. I’m just used to it.”

He Used To Be A Pageant King As A Child

Blake told Entertainment Tonight that he basically was like the male version of Honey Boo Boo growing up.

His mom Dorothy entered him in pageants as a child, and he had to compete alongside the little girls since they didn’t have separate competitions for the boys!

His mom was the most excited when he got to show off his voice in the pageants, and it’s easy to see why.

He Is Just Not A Fan Of Roller Coasters

When Gwen Stefani went on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon she revealed to Jimmy that Blake is not a fan of roller coasters.

After Gwen decided she needed to take him to Disneyland because he never went, she learned he didn’t like the popular ride.

Gwen then went on to say the fact that Blake isn’t into roller coasters was “almost a deal-breaker” for her.

Thank goodness it wasn’t in the end though, because Gwen and Blake make a very cute couple!
