The three women say that authorities have one suspect in mind, but they are failing to arrest, charge, or convict that person.
They also noted that multiple people that have been around Makenzie or involved with her life were cleared of any wrongdoing, except for this person.
Makenzie’s family is also frustrated about continuously being told that her case would be sent to a grand jury, and that has yet to happen.
“The named Prime Suspect from Law Enforcement has been able to continue to live life as though nothing has happened to this little girl,” they explained.
Although Makenzie is alive, she still is suffering from what was so cruelly done to her.
“Makenzie is in extensive occupational and physical therapy, has seen the inside of more MRI machines than an adult has, doesn’t recognize that she has legs, cannot see and continues to suffer tremendously both physically and emotionally,” her family shared.
Makenzie has also had to undergo surgery to try to repair her vision, but the news is not good. Her vision will forever be lost in her right eye, and as for her left eye, her family is hoping that somehow she will be able to eventually see a little out of it.
