“It is with a heavy heart that I write this,” Elsie’s dad Bradley wrote in a Facebook post.
“Tuesday there was an incident at the babysitter’s house. My beautiful, innocent 7-month-old baby Elsie is now fighting for her life.”
“She has severe brain damage, we do not know what her or our future is going to look like. We are trying to cope with this senseless act. Please keep my baby in your prayers.”

Two days ago, Elsie’s mom Cassie shared an update on the GoFundMe page created for Elsie.
“Elsie is no longer in a medically induced coma but continues to be sedated to keep her comfortable,” Cassie wrote.
“There’s continues to be substantial swelling within her brain but her intracranial pressure has mostly remained within the tolerated levels and she’s stable in the PICU.”
“She’s been able to move the right side of her body but not the left. Changes have been made to her seizure medication regime due to clusters of seizures. She has a long, difficult road ahead of her but we pray that she continues to make steady progress forward.”
Elsie’s family really does not know what her future will look like at this point in time.
