She Nearly Died After A Kayaking Accident And Now She’s Fighting For Her Life In The ICU

Another one of Lindsay’s friends Quinton, who is a paramedic, was able to perform CPR on her until the life flight arrived to get her to a hospital in Kalispell.

“Because of these three men, and multiple other folks who were there and ready to do whatever they could to revive Lindsay, she is still with us,” the CaringBridge updated continued.

Lindsay was admitted to the ICU and placed in a medically induced coma. Due to the fact that the water was extraordinarily cold in the river where Lindsay had her accident, it spells good news for Lindsay since the cold helps to protect the brain.

The bad news is that Lindsay did have seizures while in the ICU, which led her medical team to suspect she has worse brain damage than they originally anticipated.

Also, the lack of oxygen Lindsay’s brain underwent also could add to the damage, but there’s no way to know for sure until she wakes up.
