She recently underwent her first skin graft surgery, but she has many more surgeries ahead of her.
Destini will need skin grafts on her face, neck, chest, and arms. In the most recent update on Destini’s condition, her sister shared that she is stable yet still in critical condition.
“The swelling in her face is almost completely gone, she can open and see with both eyes, use her left hand and she’s starting to form words (even though she can’t talk just yet),” Andrea said.
“We are hoping tomorrow she will move to the burn unit (one more visitor is allowed and grandma is very very anxious to see how she’s doing).”

“This is just 1/4th of her long journey but we are so overjoyed to see her pretty eyes and know she can hear us again.”
Andrea is the sole provider of her family, and she takes care of Destini, her mom, and her grandmother.
She’s hoping to raise enough money to pay for all of Destinit’s medical care, and she still has a long road to recovery.
