“Tyler Rios cooperated with law enforcement (PCSO & FBI) and led authorities to a location inside Putnam County, just inside Monterey city limits on highway 70, where the deceased body 24-year-old Yasmine Uyar of Rahway, New Jersey was located,” the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office continued.
As of right now, Tyler is being kept at the Putnam county jail. He has only been charged with being a fugitive at this time, though it’s anticipated that the Union County Prosecutor’s Office will be adding charges of kidnapping and murder.
“My family would like to share that at 8:15 last night we were notified that Yasemins remains had been located in TN,” Yasemin’s mom Karen explained in a Facebook post.

“While my family grieves the loss of Yasemin please remember she wasn’t just a DV victim…She was a Daughter, Sister, Mother, Aunt, and Cousin.”
“Her life will be Celebrated as her greatest gift to this world, Sebastian will still need ALL of our love and support.”
“While I’m sure you are all needing details(as are we) I’m asking to please give us this day to grieve privately as a family. We will continue to share information, including funeral arrangements as we confirm them.”
According to a GoFundMe page, Tyler took Yasemin’s life before leaving her in the woods.
