“I said that if my husband is not invited because of his height I am not coming to her wedding,” she continued.
“She said that the day is about her and not about me and my husband and I should respect her wishes about her day.”
“She said that she counts with me as with the maid of honor and I can’t do this to her. I told her she is being shallow and that it is either me and my husband or none of us.”
She then told her husband the reason he was uninvited to the wedding, and he agreed with her that this bride is a jerk.
She also asked another one of her friends if what this bride said was awful, but this friend told her to basically suck it up and deal because it’s the bride’s special day.
She decided to text the bride and confront her. She told the bride she was hurt by what she said, and that she would not be able to come to the wedding if her husband could not come.
“I wrote I want to be there for her and help her as the maid of honor but I can’t do that if she will have superficial demands,” she explained.
At first, the bride ignored her, before telling her a few choice rude things. In the end, this woman came to the conclusion that her friend really was a toxic person, and she’s no longer going to the wedding or continuing their friendship.
