The driver of the car fled then fled the scene.
Sadly, Sophie passed away and Nahiomy had to be rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
As of right now, there are no suspects in custody for this and whoever hit the friends has yet to turn themself in, despite public pleas from Nahiomy.

“She was fiercely passionate about everything: friends, family, puppy dogs, soccer, Duke, travel, food, reading, spin cycling, surfing… the list goes on and on.”
