Karissa’s loved ones shared the news that Devin sadly did not survive his injuries, while Karissa is still fighting for her life right now.

“Some very disturbed inhuman beings doused/threw gasoline on Karissa & her husband Devin and then set them all on fire,” a GoFundMe page for Karissa reads.
“Devin passed away less than 2 days later and Karissa is in the hospital in very critical condition with over 70% of her body burnt, fighting for her life. We are trying to raise as much money as we can to help Karissa & her family to pay for all the medical costs and future procedures and just anything they may need.”

After an investigation into what had happened at Devin and Karissa’s home, the Houston Police Department was able to connect Emma to the crimes, and she has so far been charged with murder.
