She took the photos she had of her fiancé and put them in boxes. She purchased a condo, and this guy moved into that with her.
He eventually proposed, and they booked a place for their wedding.
One thing that is still bothering him is the fact that she is refusing to take off her deceased love’s engagement ring, which she wears on her right hand just like she explained to him not long into their relationship.
He did point out to her that he was upset about the engagement ring, and she replied that she feels bad it makes him feel upset, but she will keep wearing the ring until she dies.
She then mentioned that she was upfront with him about the ring, and he chose to keep the relationship going after knowing that she would not remove the ring.
His fiancée continued to say she loves him, but that a piece of her left when her former fiancé died.
“I can’t help but to think I’m competing with a ghost,” he admitted.
“That she never would of wanted me if he was still alive. What happens when we die and hypothetically there’s a heaven.”
“She meets back up with this guy and my ghost is s*** out of luck. Not trying to be funny and I know it sounds dumb but…why does she have to wear that ring.”
How would you deal with this?
