20 Years Ago Her Brother’s Friend Drove Her To Her Friend’s House For A Movie Night And Then This Teen Went Missing

Some evidence that authorities gathered shortly after Erin’s disappearance led them to believe that Erin perhaps went missing due to gang activity, but those leads went nowhere.

Then, in 2002, there seemed to be quite a promising lead.

“Our one reliable sighting came in the spring of 2002,” Erin’s family mentioned. Erin was spotted at a convenience store in Cedar Rapids.”

“She was riding in the back seat of a car with Illinois license plates. This tip was provided to Cedar Rapids Police, however, the car was not found.”

Was it Erin in that car? The individual that spotted her was absolutely certain that it was since this person did know Erin.

Despite that, neither the authorities nor Erin’s family have been able to confirm she really was sitting in that back seat.

Erin’s family is still holding out hope that she is out there, somewhere, and that they will soon have answers in her case.

“She was last seen wearing beige overall shorts,” the Iowa Missing Person Information Clearinghouse explained in a profile of Erin.

“She has a small scar above her left eye. Erin had red highlights in her hair. She was last seen leaving in an early 90’s model, black Chevy Cavalier.”
