Authorities ended up ruling Cassandra’s death an accident, and since there were not any signs of foul play in her tragic passing, authorities are not pressing charges against the person who gave Cassandra the pill.
Now, Patricia has full custody of Cassandra’s 2-year-old son named Ace, and she’s on a mission to educate people about the dangers of Fentanyl.
On September 21st, Patricia paid for a billboard near the Cowboy’s Stadium that has a photo of her daughter and reads, “1 pill that’s all it took. Fentanyl kills.”

Patricia is hoping that people driving past will see the billboard and that it could potentially lead to saving someone’s life.
Patricia has also created a GoFundMe account to cover the costs of keeping the billboard up for longer, which you can donate to here if you would like.
