These TLC Stars Are Raising Money To Help Orphaned Children With HIV

“Having come out when HIV and AIDS went rampant, friends were just dying left and right,” Kenny explained in the episode.

“I don’t know how many funerals I went to, how many wakes and memorials I went to. So actually the thought of adopting a child with the same thing that was a death sentence 30 years ago, and people were shunning people and didn’t want to be near people and family were disowning their children who had it I would love to take that child that’s here today and embrace them and hug them and support them and show them how loved they are.”

Honestly, it was a pretty heartbreaking thing to see Armando and Kenny visit with the orphaned children.

Although the couple is still considering their options for adding children to their family, they are doing something right now to help the HIV-positive children that they visited with.

Yesterday, Kenny took to GoFundMe to create a fundraiser to help the children from the Eunime Orphanage.

“This Orphanage has children of all ages (babies to teens) that not only have been neglected and abandoned but also affected by HIV,” Kenny said on the GoFundMe page.

“They have the biggest hearts. Your support is not only to create awareness but most importantly to provide food, medication, and facility upgrades for a happier and healthier environment.”

“Juana, the director goes above and beyond and we want her and the children to know they are not alone, they are loved and we are here to show them that with your help!”

Kenny noted that all of the money that he and Armando raise through GoFundMe will go directly to the orphaned children.

If you would like to donate to the GoFundMe for the children at the Eunime Orphanage, you can do that here.
