Beth slowly became more helpful in taking care of Leo, and then Beth’s boyfriend wanted her and Leo to move in with him again.
Beth moved back, she stepped up as a mom and started doing a good job, and this teen breathed a huge sigh of relief.
Her life went back to normal, and the burden of caring for Leo was removed from her. Her home life went from very sad to happy again.
Things were alright, until last weekend. Beth came to have dinner with them, and she brought Leo and Leo’s father, who is now her fiancé.
“After we’d finished dinner we were having dessert and out of the blue Beth and her boyfriend made an announcement she was pregnant with a second child,” she continued.
She tried hard to keep it together, but she burst into tears. Although her family was surprised by her outburst of emotion, they completely knew why she was crying.
Beth’s fiancé said words under his breath then left, while Beth freaked out on her for the waterworks.
She told Beth she was afraid she would be left taking care of her second baby like she had been left taking care of Leo by herself.
Beth was angry, her parents had to de-escalate things, and then Beth went home. Since that night, her parents have told her she was being dramatic and turned good news into bad.
Her parents have also mentioned she should have behaved in a way that showed Beth she was happy for her.
