From that day on, Melanie made it her mission to create nail polish for children that is, as she adorably says, as “natural as mud.”
This means that every nail polish in the Piggy Paint line is non-toxic and free of harsh chemicals, making them safe for pregnant moms to use as well.
Additionally, the nail polishes are vegan and cruelty-free. Surprisingly, Piggy Paint nail polishes are water-based, but they won’t wash away in water.
Piggy Paint sent us the Birthday Cake Shake set to review, along with their nail polish remover and their set that includes a shine topcoat and baselayer.
The Birthday Cake Shake set includes 4 different bright and cheery nail polishes; Neon Lights, Shimmy Shimmy POP, Sea-quin, and Groovy Grape.
The set also comes with some adorable heart-themed nail stickers to add, and we did find that if you seal the stickers with a layer of shine top coat, they adhere better.
Piggy Paint recommends that to make the most of your manicure, you should first use the basecoat before applying any polish, and then use a hairdryer to speed up the time it takes to dry everything.
To remove your manicure, it comes off easily with the Piggy Paint nail polish remover. What we like about their nail polish remover is that it doesn’t contain acetone, but it does have Vitamin E and Aloe Vera to keep cuticles and nails in top shape.
Overall, we think Piggy Paint products are wonderful, and they’re a must-have for moms who are concerned about all of the harmful things in traditional nail polish!
