As the evening continued, the whole family couldn’t help but offer up their congratulations to her for being pregnant, and then wanted to know if she and her husband were crossing their fingers for a girl or boy.
She knew she had to fess up, especially after she was able to take Amie aside and talk to her about it.
So, she organized a family Zoom call and told everyone the truth there, on video. She said she was not pregnant, but Amie was.
She was shocked that her dad tried to support Amie, meanwhile, her mom and Julie started tearing her and Amie apart.
They called her and Amie bad names, before accusing her of “getting their hopes up.” When Amie said she would be terminating her pregnancy, they laced into her for that too.
She tried to stick up for Amie, asking Julie and her mom what Amie should plan on doing if they won’t let her keep her baby, yet won’t let her terminate her pregnancy.
They hung up after that comment, and she is still waiting on an answer from the two of them.
It turns out, Amie most likely is going to go through with having her baby, she only started talking about an alternative option to rile up mom and Julie.
She’s left wondering though if she should not have said what she did on the Zoom call, and she’s feeling pretty bad about it.
