She Was Sent Home In An Uber After Her Date Said Her Outfit Would “Embarrass Him”

“He said that this [the space between her black top and salmon pants] was too revealing for his work function,” Jabs explained while pointing to her midriff. But, the real kicker is that the grand opening was for an athleisure clothing company. Her date was just wearing joggers and running shoes.

After the work function, the man did call Jabs since she had forgotten her laptop charger at his place. She went to pick it up but he would not stop pleading with her once she arrived.

“He did beg me to stay with him, apologizing and saying he should not have said anything to me. He also told me I would have been fine wearing what I was wearing and that he didn’t know why he told me to change. He even tried to hug me,” Jabs explained, “But I didn’t have any of it. I did not touch him and I did not stay.”

The TikTok community has supported Jabs throughout this whole ordeal. They also believe that she got out of this relationship just in time.

“I’m a domestic violence therapist and testing boundaries like this is exactly how domestic violence escalates in a relationship. I am glad you’re safe,” commented one user.

“Thank you so much for your insight. I’m glad I got out after only three weeks and not three years,” Jabs responded to the user.

“This is exactly how it began with my abusive ex. Thank you for showing what you should do; what I wish I had done,” commented another user.

If a partner begins testing boundaries and manipulating, this pattern rarely will stop there. Thankfully Jabs got out of this situation before it was too late. Still, women should not have to worry about these “red flags” in the first place.

Moving forward, if a man ever asks you to change your outfit or makeup, simply opt to go home as Jabs did.

It may not feel the best in the moment, but you will be saving yourself from a dreadful relationship of backhanded comments and manipulation.
