She RSVP’d No To Her Best Friend’s Wedding Since She Is Marrying An Abusive Partner

“It’s just bizarre logic that only makes sense to him,” the woman said, “He screams and swears at her when he has these meltdowns.”

Like a good friend, this woman wants to look out for her best friend. Still, she remains supportive in fear of what the man would do if she “gave up on her.”

“That’s why I said congratulations for her engagement on the premise that as long as she is happy, I am happy,” she said, “However, since receiving a formal invitation to the wedding, I don’t think I can support this event.”

It simply does not feel right to this woman to go and watch her best friend get married when she would “love to see her wake up and leave him.”

So, she RSVP’d “no” to the wedding and told her friend the truth.

“My best friend is really upset and calling me fake and unsupportive. I just feel like I’m sticking to my principles, but should I be supporting her regardless?” the woman asked.

What would you do in this sticky situation?
