All The Christmas Movies You Can Watch Today If You Need A Break From Family Festivities

When a random group of kids flying home to see their families for the holidays gets stuck in the airport on Christmas, they decide to make the best of it. A totally kid-friendly movie with an adventurous appeal the whole family can get in on.

Netflix original, Holidate (2020) is a young adult adventure featuring Emma Roberts and her character’s plan to book a fake date to avoid prying questions at family gatherings for brand-name holidays.

It’s a bit mature for kids but has plenty of laughs and dating faux pas for adults. It spans a whole year of cringe-worthy holiday celebrations, as their fake dates start to feel real to the couple. (Streaming on Netflix.)

Bonus: Looking for something a little raunchy? Stream Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009) with Hulu Live TV.

It’s loosely based on the classic, A Christmas Carol and deals with an overconfident bachelor with a sordid dating history.

Arguably one of Matthew McConaughey’s most entertaining roles, we also see Jennifer Garner as his childhood love interest and a full roster of hilarious cameos from other actors you know.

If none of these sound right for you, don’t worry: there’s a whole host of holiday content under the “Christmas Comedies” section of Netflix and Hulu’s “Holidays” tab. Cheers to the holidays; we’ll make it through, one movie at a time.
