Fewer Than 1% Of Pilots Are Black Women And This College Student Is Reaching For The Skies With Her Dream Of Attending Flight School To Boost That Number

From there, she wants to be able to go through more training so she can work towards completing her Instrument Rating, which is where she will learn the ins and outs of mastering the different controls within a plane.

In order to be a commercial airline pilot, Bria will need to complete both of these steps.

Bria is currently raising money to help achieve her dreams and to show her appreciation, she is sweetly knitting blankets by hand for anyone who contributes $150 or more to her cause.

“For any donations of $150 or more, I will send you a 55” x 80” hand-knit chunky blanket as a token of my gratitude,” Bria said. “It’s the perfect gift for you or your loved ones this holiday season!”

If you would like to help Bria fulfill her dream of being a commercial airline pilot, you can donate here.
