His Fiancée Is Refusing To Stick To A Budget For Their Wedding And Threatening To End The Relationship If He Doesn’t Pay Up

His family was extremely disappointed when he shared this news with him, and they pleaded with him to try to convince his fiancée to have a bigger party so more of their family could attend.

“She disagreed and kept reminding me of the ultimatum,” he recalled.

“After seeing the toll it was taking on me from having my family threaten to not attend altogether, disown, not accept the marriage, etc..she agreed to having a wedding reception with a note that I would need to pay for all of it and that she would not contribute to it financially since she never wanted it.”

“I agreed and shared a 30K budget and for it to be in the first 3 months of 2022 because there was no way we could meet the “deadline” of 2021 with such short notice.”

“She began planning and is choosing extravagant options such as drapes, floor wraps, and non-essentials and recently shared the estimated total is 39K (well over 30K budget).”

He then asked his fiancée if she would be able to come up with that extra $9,000 while he covered the original $30,000 for the budget they had set.

His fiancée flat out refused to contribute in any way financially.

He then requested to postpone their wedding date for a bit while he worked to get the extra $9,000 over their budget to fund the wedding, to which his fiancée replied that if he can’t get it by the date they already had set, she’s ending the relationship.

He can try to scramble to come up with the $9,000, but he really wanted to stick to their budget and is struggling with what to do.

How would you feel in this situation?
